STEVEN GROSS SOLO CONCERT with orchestra at the International Horn Society Symposium, Los Angeles, August 8. Featured photo is the Telemann Concerto for 3 Horns with (L to R) Dale Clevenger, Steve Gross, Jim Thatcher.  In addition, he performed Jiří Havlík’s  Concerto for Horn – Molto lento, North American Orchestral Premiere; Dale Clevenger conducted. Other works included Timothy Jones performing Mozart Concerto no. 3, and Andrew Bain premiering Brad Warnaar’s Concerto for Horn. Professional orchestra was the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra. (Oh yes, there was a solo violin part in the Telemann, played by Roger Wilkie.) Performance was in memory of Roy Gross (1926-2014).
